The Chicken Barbecue is a long-standing
and much anticipated tradition of Hollis Old
Home Days. It takes place in the Barbecue Tent from
3:30pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The chicken
is applewood-smoked at the event itself.
The menu consists one-half of a barbecued chicken, potato salad, green salad, baked beans, roll, watermelon, and a cold drink. The plates of food are BIG — not every member of your family will necessarily need their own plate.
The number of Chicken Barbecue tickets is limited! The Barbecue ticket price is $12, or $8 for seniors (ages 65 and over).
Online ticket sales of barbecue tickets ended on Sept. 15, 2011. If you already purchased tickets in advance online or by mail, they will be held for you to pick up at the Old Home Days Tent (not the Barbecue Tent) on Saturday of Old Home Days.
However, you can still purchase barbecue tickets in person on a first-come, first-served basis in one of two ways:

| NOTE: The Hollis Old Home Days Committee invites Hollis residents 90 years or older to be our guests at no charge for the Chicken Barbecue between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
